Excellence at Work Highly Commended
Composite Profiles UK (the people behind wHOLE.Protect)were delighted to receive a Highly Commended honour at the Excellence at Work Awards 2021 by FASET (Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training).
In making the announcement, FASET’s Managing Director, Tony Seddon, acknowledged Composite Profiles’ “high level of pre-construction planning and the suggested programme changes helped bring the project in under budget and earlier than anticipated, also incorporating the FASET access hierarchy.”
Health & Safety – Working at Height
The ‘working-at-height’ industry is one with its own unique challenges and health and safety must remain the Number 1 factor when contracting construction teams. Tony made special mention of the ‘working at height industry’ and commended the ‘plethora of talent and experience’ in it.
All too often, we see ‘cost’ competing as number one priority but in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster lessons have been learned, and recognition of and demand for industry approved sub-contractors such as FASET is increasing.
Tony acknowledged “the work of FASET members – sub-contracting and training – is often extremely challenging, complex and is far from simple. And we shouldn’t forget – what they do every day – save lives. And that fact cannot be understated.”
His closing message was clear, “All involved in FASET should be very proud of what they achieve – regardless of whether they won an award, because they ensure that construction site workers in the UK go home safely to their families, every day.”
